Concrete Mat

Concrete Mat

The concrete mat is a fiber-structured mat containing cement-mixed powder, designed as a composite mat in a sandwich cross-section where the cement-mixed powder in the core is secured by upper and lower fiber covers.
After on-site installation, it allows in-situ hydration curing by water spraying.
Applications of Concrete Mats
Channel lining, slope protection, emergency repair of ground subsidence, etc.

Features of Concrete Mats

01
Channel Lining (GEOCON-M-85)

Used for slopes along railways and roads, as well as paddy and field embankments, to prevent excessive weed growth.
Compared to products previously installed, its higher durability prevents pest occurrence and reduces costs associated with weeding.

Before Use
After Use
  • Concrete mats allow quick installation for channel construction.
  • Installation costs are low.
  • Unlike traditional concrete channels, they can be installed manually without special equipment.
02
Slope Protection (GEOCON-M-85)
Before Use
After Use
Before Use
After Use
  • Concrete mats can replace shotcrete and wire mesh for slope protection.
  • Generally, they allow faster construction.
  • They provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Without specialized equipment, they eliminate rough and cracked surfaces often found after traditional shotcrete application.
03
Slope Erosion Protection (GEOCON-M-85)
  • Concrete mats enable converting traditional earthen embankments into concrete-like structures.
  • They act as anti-weed mats, reducing maintenance costs and providing fire prevention.
  • Easy installation allows shorter construction periods and manual work in areas with limited equipment access.
04
Emergency Sinkhole Repair
  • Concrete mats allow rapid installation for sinkhole repair.
  • They help reinforce soil strength at disturbed sinkhole sites.
  • Applicable to various types of sinkhole restoration.
  • Can be used for pipe repair, reinforcement, and under-pipe support.

Economical and Hygienic PE Sheet Lining Waterproofing

Concrete mats are fiber-structured mats containing cement-mixed powder.
In the sandwich-type cross-section, the cement-mixed powder in the core is secured by upper and lower fiber covers,
allowing on-site installation and hydration curing through water spraying.
01
Fast Construction
  • Easy and quick installation
  • Achieves approximately 60–70% compressive strength within 24 hours of on-site hydration
  • Hydration possible in both freshwater and seawater
02
Ease of Use
  • Movable rolls allow manual installation
  • No mixing, measuring, or compaction required
  • Simply spray water to complete installation
03
Strength Satisfaction
  • Reinforced to absorb cracks and impact energy, ensuring stable plastic failure
04
Durability
  • Excellent resistance to weathering, UV, and chemicals
05
Waterproofing
  • Specially designed sandwich mat containing dry concrete mix.
For guaranteed waterproofing, an HDPE sheet can be applied on one side
06
High Economy
  • Fast and simple construction
  • Cost savings compared to conventional concrete methods

Concrete Mat Hydration

  • 01
    Surface Water Spraying

Spray sufficient water onto the fiber surface until the concrete mat is fully saturated

  • 02
    Hydration and Curing Time

Curing begins 1–2 hours after hydration starts (shorter in hot climates)

  • 03
    Re-spraying Unhydrated Areas

Immediately re-spray water on unhydrated parts (minimum water-to-geocon mat ratio 1:2)

  • 04
    Avoid Direct High-Pressure Water

Do not spray high-pressure water directly on the mat.
(The filler material may be washed out.)

  • 05
    Prevent Freezing Before Curing

Ensure water does not freeze before cement reacts and hardens

  • 06
    Check Ground Conditions Before Installation

Do not install on frozen ground
